Science - Animal Life, Class 1

Children would know a lot about animals even before they begin to learn about them in classrooms. However, they might be ignorant of many facts essential for further learning. For example, they might know something about the lifecycle of a butterfly but might find it difficult to accept that a butterfly, a bird or a spider is an animal.

A good grounding in animal life concepts would help them appreciate the complexity and diversity of animal life. What's more, it might help them realise that we human beings, leaders of the animal kingdom, have a responsibility to protect the diversity and complexity of animals.

Math - Circles - Class 5
You are about to teach one of the most important and fundamental geometrical shapes known to humankind. Circle is a natural geometrical shape unlike say, a square or a rectangle. Cut a lemon, a sweet lime or an orange in half...you will see a circle. Sun and moon appear as perfect circles. (Imagine a square-looking sun or a rectangle-looking moon!) For that matter, any sphere appears a circle from a distance. Circle is also perhaps the first shape that children learn; even tiny tots recognize a circle easily and call it a 'round'.

Math - Divisibility - Class 4

This kit will enable the children to:

  • Discover the concept of division through experiments
  • Understand the concept of sharing equally
  • Express in words the divisibility rules
  • Recognise the factors of easily divisible numbers

Patterns Class 3
Recognising patterns is a fundamental trait of the human mind. Be it an infant or an old person, all human beings search for patterns. Patterns help us frame and share our understanding of the world. Most of the routines that we observe in our daily lives are based on patterns when the doorbell rings early in the morning, we know that it is the milkman or the newspaper boy. When it rings late in the evening, we know it is the father or mother returning from work but certainly not the milkman.

Patterns are anything with a unit - a shape, design rhythm - that repeats in a predictable manner. Young children absorb patterns, often involuntarily. If they are made aware of pattern recognition, they will find it easier to investigate and understand patterns which is a life skill.

Projects - Class 4 FIRST AID +

Why is it important for children to learn First Aid?
This kit will enable the children to:

  • Pick up a life skill. (Life skills are abilities individuals can learn that will help them to be successful in living a productive and satisfying life). So, it is good to learn how to administer First Aid.
  • To act and not merely feel like helping another person in a critical or life threatening situation. First Aid emphasizes the tenet that no human being is an island and that we need and should help each other.
