Khan Academy

Salman Khan – not out Six Pack Abs heartthrob - is an amazing person. He has founded the Khan Academy hoping to use technology to foster new learning models. Currently the portfolio manager of a fund based in Menlo Park, California, Sal received his MBA from Harvard Business School where he was president of the student body. He also holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a BS in Mathematics from MIT where he was president of the Class of 1998.

At MIT, Sal used to develop web-based math software for children with ADHD.

Khan has created a website that will make children and math teachers dance in joy. The website offers links to 800+ (and growing!) videos on YouTube covering everything from basic arithmetic and algebra to differential equations, statistics, probability, finance and what have you. He has also developed a free, adaptive math program. The entire video library can be accessed FREE!

This is simply marvelous. We decided not to review any other website in this issue so that only this URL sticks in your mind.
